- What customer information is collected?
The minimum required to create your book: contact email, order details, uploaded photos, the choices you make, and payment references (never card numbers).
- Why an audience profile is used instead of a birth date.
An audience profile gives us everything we need to tune the book. We don't collect a child's birth date.
- How are files stored?
Photos and generated files live in private storage with per-user access controls.
- Who may access private files?
Only the account owner (or verified guest session), authorized production workflows, and a small operations team when investigating a support issue.
- Which outside services process information?
See the Subprocessor Register for the current list of providers used for payments, printing, email, and image generation.
- How does data deletion work?
You can request deletion of your account and associated data from your account privacy page or by contacting support.

- Does UrKidsBook use facial recognition or biometric identity templates?
We do not build biometric identity templates. Photos are used to create the character portraits you approve, not to identify or track individuals.
- How does legal preservation affect deletion timing?
In rare cases, legal preservation requires us to retain specific records longer than the standard schedule.
- Where are the current policies?
Every current policy lives under our /terms, /privacy, /photo-permission, /ai-disclosure, /data-retention, /refunds-reprints-cancellations, /accessibility, and /security routes.
