Articles
- Who can create a book?
Any authorized adult 18 or older who has permission for the photos they upload can create a book. That includes parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, adult siblings, guardians, caregivers, mentors, family friends, teachers with proper authorization, and adult gift buyers.
- Does the purchaser have to be the child's parent?
No. UrKidsBook is intentionally inclusive of the many adults who create books for a kid they know. Parents, grandparents, other relatives, guardians, caregivers, mentors, family friends, teachers, and coaches can all create a book with proper authorization for the photos.
- Why must the purchaser be 18 or older?
Creating a book requires legally binding decisions: uploading photos, accepting terms, authorizing payment, and confirming permission for likenesses. Those responsibilities require an adult.
- Can I order as a guest?
Yes. Guests can create a full book. Guests recover their order at /track using their email plus Order ID.
- What do I get by creating an account?
An account keeps drafts and orders together, saves approved characters to the Character Vault, and speeds up support.
- How do guests recover an order?
Go to /track and enter your email plus Order ID. We send a signed short-lived link that reveals your order details.
- How are Terms and Privacy acceptance recorded?
You accept a single combined attestation before creating your book, and we save an immutable evidence record of what you agreed to and when.
- What happens if someone under 18 tries to use the creation system?
The creation and checkout flow is intended for adults. If underage use is detected or reported, the account or draft is disabled and the material is handled per our data retention policy.
